Message from Ken Geuns, Extension Specialist - Livestock YouthMany of you have been asking about the 2004 Health Requirements for Livestock Exhibited in Michigan that is annually published by the Michigan Dept. of Agriculture. I have been asking many of the same questions or asking for clarification. I wanted to inform you that the new requirements have recently been posted on the MDA website. The address is: http://www.michigan.gov/mda. Go to "Fairs, Racing & Recreation". Next go to "Exhibition Requirements".Hopefully, this will help answer your questions. Specific questions on the requirements should be directed to the MDA Animal Industry Division in Lansing at 517/373-1077. |

2004 Exploration DaysThe dates have now been released and preparations are in place for the 2004 Exploration Days! Mark your calendars for June 23-25, 2004. to campus for Exploration Days provided by Leelanau County MSU Extension
office. The cost to and from campus is $12. There are three
pick-up sites: Tom's West Bay, Chums Corner, and DNR Hunting and Fishing
Museum. Space is very limited so reservations are being taken on
a first-come, first-served basis upon receipt of completed health form
and payment. Health form can be access from our camp web site:
