Message from Ken Geuns, Extension Specialist - Livestock Youth

Many of you have been asking about the 2004 Health Requirements for Livestock Exhibited in Michigan that is annually published by the Michigan Dept. of Agriculture.  I have been asking many of the same questions or asking for clarification.  I wanted to inform you that the new requirements have recently been posted on the MDA website.  The address is: http://www.michigan.gov/mda.  Go to "Fairs, Racing & Recreation".  Next go to "Exhibition Requirements".

Hopefully, this will help answer your questions.  Specific questions on the requirements should be directed to the MDA Animal Industry Division in Lansing at 517/373-1077.
