4-H Camp Living Waters

Our local 4-H Camp will take place again at Camp Living Waters located in Luther, Michigan June 9-11.  If you're looking for a camp for the younger set (ages 8-12), this is a wonderful choice. Your young camper will enjoy activities such as archery, crafts, leathercraft, swimming, sports, skits, campfires, and more! Cost is $90.  

4-H member scholarships are available! Deadline to register: May 30, 2004.

4-H Exploration Days

This year, Exploration Days on the Michigan State University Campus will occur June 23-25 for teens age 12-19 years old.  Cost is $140.  Stop into the office to pick up your registration booklet so you can register early to get your choice of many fun-filled classes.  4-H member scholarships are available.  Deadline to register: May 21, 2004.

Great Lakes Natural Resources Camp

Camp Chickagami is a great camp for teens aged 13-15.  The dates are August 1 through August 7, 2004. The cost is $225 and includes meals, lodging, and activity fees.  Enjoy fishing, snorkeling, swimming, sailing, hiling, bird-watching, lighthouse tours, crafts, community service projects, quarry trip, photography, orienteering, journaling, and more!  Located between Alpena and Rogers City, the camp has dormitory-style housing and shower facilities.  You do not have to be a 4-H member to attend!  Deadline for early registration:  April 30.  After June 15 cost is $230.  (Fee includes meals, snacks, lodging, T-shirt, and program & activity costs)

Camp Kidwell

Several types of camps are available at Camp Kidwell located in Allegan, MI.  Select your choice of Healthy Youth Week, or High Adventure Teen Week Camps at $175-225.00/week each.  

Healthy Youth Week Camp:  Week long camps by age from June 13-18 through August 1-6 

High Adventure Camp: Extreme Tent Camping, Monday morning thru Thursday evening - July 5-8.

4-H Learning Science Through the Arts Youth Camp

This camp takes place June 27-30 and is open to all 4-H and Non-4-H youth aged 9-14 at the Kettunen Center in Tustin, Michigan.  Enjoy Interactive Theatre, Outdoor Photography, Wildflower Discovery, nature Arts & Crafts & more.  Outside Recreation includes: Hiking, Swimming, Boating, Fishing, Group sports and games, Campfires & Archery.   Cost is: $125.  4-H member scholarships are available.  Check in occurs on Sunday: 1 p.m.  Check Out: Wednesday: 2:30 p.m. Deadline to register: June 20, 2004.

4-H Livestock Camp

If you are age 10 or older and crazy about animals, this is the camp for you!  You will learn how to care for your animals and prepare them for show.  Have fun while you learn to care for your animals and prepare them for show.  June 28-30 at the Branch County Fairgrounds.  Cost: $85.  4-H member scholarships are available.  Registration is May 7, 2004.

The YMCA at Camp Torenta

Join your friends, old and new, at Camp Torenta this summer!  Each camp day is packed full of programs and activities including swimming, boating, hiking, cookouts, and arts & crafts, all on Lake Mitchell shoreline in the Cadillac area!  There are two camps to choose from: 

Day Camp 
The day camp is packed full of camp activities. Each program day begins at 9 a.m. and wraps up at 4:00 p.m.  A terrific lunch is provided in the dining hall and an extended camp program is available for those that need an early drop-off or late pick-up.  Transportation is available at select pickup points through the Cadillac Wexford County Transportation Agency.  Sessions available are: June 14-18, June 21-25, June 28-July 1, July 5-9, July 12-16, July 19-23, July 26-30, and Aug 2-6.  Cost for YMCA members is $85/week 1child or $75/each additional child; Cost for others: $110 and $100/each additional child. 

Resident Camp 
One week of boys' camp and one week of girls camp is available in July. Summer camp at Camp Torenta is a local tradition -- here's your chance to create your own memories.  Camp begins at check-in on Sunday evening and wrap-up on Friday with family dinner cookout.  In addition to all the activities available during day camp, there are those special experiences only available at an overnight camp.  
 

Coed Camp: July 11 - 17 
Boys Camp: July 18 - July 23 
Girls Camp: July 25 - July 30 

Resident Camp Fees: YMCA Program Members: $195;  Others: $225
