It is getting to be that time of year! Time to think about your restricted use pesticide recertification. If you need six credits, you can earn them by conducting a Farmstead Evaluation (Farm*A*Syst). The Farmstead Evaluation is free, confidential and voluntary. A groundwater technician will meet with you and work with you to complete the worksheets that discuss such topics as pesticide storage and handling, fuel storage rules, emergency preparedness and water well protection to name a few. Also conducting a Farmstead Evaluation makes you eligible to apply for cost-share through the Michigan Groundwater Stewardship Program.
