Meeting Minutes
September 23, 2002
Meeting called to order at 7:05 pm by President, Nancy Curtis.
Board Members Present were: Nancy Curtis, Bev Rajzer, Warren Sell, Tom Pursley, Melissa Warkentien, Karron Tortorelli, Iris Swift and Casey Tripp, Phillip Curtis, Dain Webster, Dean Ransler,
Secretary’s Report: read by Nancy Curtis, Nancy made motion to accept secretary’s report, Casey Tripp second, motion passed.
Treasurer’s Report: Karron Tortorelli, handed out a End of Year Financial Report. Motion made by Iris Swift to accept Treasurer’s Report, second by Warren Sell, motion passed.
Warren Sell made a motion to have the pop machine money from the fair be put in the building fund, Bev Rajzer second, motion passed.
The boxes of left over candy bars were brought to the meeting from the candy bar fundraiser and it was asked that they be sold. There were 3 full boxes left.
Bills and Correspondence: National Pork Board, and Information about Dairy Days/Dairy Expo read.
Guest Speakers: Sara Pion was unable to attend as guest speaker due to illness. Maury Kaercher spoke about the right combinations of protein, dry matter and minerals needed to feed steer projects, so they reach a finished weight by fair time. He also talked about TB testing and Johnes disease.
Bruce MacKellar said that Sara Pion had informed him that we will probably have to do Pseudorabies testing again next year.
Old Business:
Fair Book Changes Committee was formed and the following individuals have volunteered to be on the committee; Bruce MacKellar, Karron Tortorelli, Jimmy Hollis, Hillary Fisher, Iris Swift, Gerri Fleetwood and Nancy Curtis
Building Committee Members are, Dino Rigoni, Warren, Sell, Tod Kubiszak, Tom Pursley, Dean Ransler and Karron Tortorelli
Elections were held for new Board Members and the winners were for
adults, Warren Sell, Tammy Burch and Jerri Pursley, teens were, Stephen Rajzer, Jessica
Sell, Sara Burch and Casey Tripp. The elected
board members elected, Bev Rajzer as President, Warren Sell, Vice President, Karron
Tortorelli, Treasurer, Jerri Pursley, secretary. For
teens, Stephen Rajzer, President, Sara Burch, Vice President, Melissa Warkentien,
secretary and Jessica Sell, treasurer.
After elections were held, pizza was served.
Next meeting will be held October 28, 2002 at 7:00 pm at the Van Buren Conference Center.
Motion made by Bev Rajzer to adjourn meeting at 8:35 pm, second by Karron T., motion passed.
