Old business:  The State Show will be the weekend of August 18th – 20th.  Janet suggested that the kids have 2 hour time slots for kids to work instead of 4 hour shifts.  Rick’s Tack donated the belt buckles again for the Versatility classes.  We need to check on the status of the Savings Bond.  We received 2 additional trophies back.  There was some discussion concerning the handling of the trophies and how damages should be handled.  This year any damages be paid for by the Horse Council.  Moving forward the recipient will be responsible for any damages and repairs needed, defacing will be strictly dealt with.  MMSC Jimmy & Terri N.

The possibility is that we’ll need to order a tent, although there was discussion about housing some of the horses in the Draft Barn, and there are several kids showing both that would be glad to keep the horses there with their drafts.  Further discussion was table until the July meeting as there will be time to order the tent, if needed, at that time.

We still need workers for the July 8th show.  Melva D will work in the Entry booth.  We should call the clubs to get donations for food.

Janet will be in charge of selling T shirts for a fund raiser during fair week.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:50 PM.   MMSC  Ken and Janet.

Respectfully submitted,

Melva DeVries, Secretary
