Meeting Minutes
February 1, 2006

The meeting was called to order by President James Jonatzke at 7:03 PM at the Lawrence Conference Center.

Attendees:  Janice Zerbe, Ron DeVries, Melva DeVries, Nancy Wheatley, Shannon Hoyt, Melva Thayer, Tammy Dykstra, Emily Dykstra, Casey Tripp, Rusty Tripp, Ken Tomsa, James Jonatzke, Terri Novotny, Kevin Novotny, Kelsi Brinks, Janet Tripp, Lizabeth TerMeer.

Meeting minutes from the previous meeting were approved as presented.  MMSC Janet & Rusty

The treasurer's report was approved as presented.  MMSC Janet & Nancy
    Checking balance:  2117.04
    Savings #1 balance:  505.49
    Savings #2 balance:  2094.26
    Total in all accounts:  4715.79

Janet deposited funds for 2 more tables sold.  Nancy's club donated $15.00.   Terri turned in a check for banners - $100.00.  Equine ladies wrote a letter and donated to the trophy fund towards horse trophies - $100.00

There were no bills presented nor any additional correspondence.

Old Business-

Tack Sale:  noted above additional tables sold.  Lizabeth Termeer will get bread and rolls and will be in charge of the Food Booth.  Lizabeth will be doing follow-up calls for donated items and calling Melva Thayer to pick up final items needed on Friday night.  Trailblazers will donate $$ for the food booth along with the Gobles club.   Set-up is to happen at 7:30 am for the Tack Sale.  $50.00 start up for the food booth and $25.00 start up for the door, MMSC Melva T and Janet.  Kenny and Kevin will watch the door.

MMSC Melva T & Ken to pay the once annual fee of $25.00 to MAWHC.

New Business-

Terri presented the new showbill, MMSC Janet and Kenny to accept the showbill as presented.

Janet noted that this year we have 16 spots for the State Show.  Janet also recommended that we ask Jackie Droske to do the t-shirts again this year so that we're keeping it in the county and she'll do whatever we want.  Janet will check to see if Jackie could bring samples of t-shirts and patches as per the discussion along with prices.  The rules committee will meet on Thursday, Feb. 23rd at 7:30 at the Geneva Town Hall.

The leader mandatory meeting is April 12th, regular Horse Council Meeting.   The topic for the essay will be discussed in March and all information will be updated for the April meeting regarding the State Show information.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:55 PM, MMSC Kenny, Melva T.

Note:  April meeting will be Wednesday, April 12th, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at the Conference Center.
