Eligibility

The K. J. Moilanen Memorial Scholarship Fund is intended to encourage students who have demonstrated capacity to achieve educational and professional goals, the motivation to achieve these goals and the initiative to seek opportunities to further their progress.

The following conditions are required for participation in the program. An applicant must:

1. Be a County Extension Agent seeking a Masters that will assist them in continuing to serve as an Extension Agent.
2. Have completed at least one year of employment with MSU Extension.
3. Have at least a 50% appointment with MSU Extension.
4. Not be in the last year of employment with MSU Extension.
5. Have administrative approval granted prior to review by the committee thus assuring the relevant University and Extension policies have been met/
6. 
   
The recipient(s) must express acceptance and appreciation of the award in writing within six weeks of notification of the award, with correspondence to be addressed to:

All funds must be expended by recipients within one year of the award.
