Comments: Silver Fir is a pyramidal tree that is native to
Europe. It prefers moist soils. The needles are dark green
and shiny on the upper surface but silver below. The cones
are about 5 inches long.

Cultivars:
'Boesger Pyramid' - Young trees have dark green (Vis. 1)
foliage and a narrow, pyramidal shape (Vis. 2).
'Green Spiral' - The stems are twisted and the short
branches are pendulous (Vis. 5).
'Pendula' - Weeping habit (Vis. 3).
'Pyramidalis' - Dense, conical plants (Vis. 4).
'Tortuosa' - Branches twisted.
