Clivia miniata--Kaffir Lily
Type: house plant
Flowers: Orange, yellow
Comments: Kaffir Lily can become a rather large house
plant. The orange flowers have yellow throats and are
usually produced in the spring. The plant are easily
grown. Eventually the plants will become so large that
they must be divided. Fertilize regularly with a product
formulated for house plants.
Propagation: Usually by seed or division. Division is
done after the plants have flowered. Try to untangle the
roots carefully to avoid damage.
Cultivars:
'French Hybrid' - Orange flowers.
'Monya' (Flame TM) - Large flower clusters, more robust
plants.
'Solomone Hybrids' - Pale yellow flowers.
