Comments: This broad-leaved evergreen can be used in the
shade and requires at least some shade for best growth.
The fragrant white flowers are borne in the spring and are
followed by black fruits. The fruits are not particularly
ornamental.

Cultivars:
var. humilis - A low plant suitable for use as a ground
cover. It will be less than 2 feet tall but may
spread 8 feet.
