Comments: Although this plant has several ornamental
traits, it is most often grown as a fruit crop. Highbush
Blueberry should be planted in a moist acid soil. The
ornamental traits are the white flowers (Vis. 1) in spring
and the bright red fall foliage color. The berries are
edible and dark blue to black.

'Blue Crop' - Large berries produced in mid-season.
'Blue Ray' - Large, light blue berries, mid-season.
'Collins' - Medium size berries.
'Coville' - Large berries, mid-late season.
'Earliblue' - Medium-sized fruit, very early.
'Elliot' - Small to medium size berries, late.
'Friendship' - A compact plant with small to medium
size berries.
'Late Blue' - Large fruit.
'Northland' - Small, dark blue fruit are produced on
hardy, compact plants.
x 'Ornablue' - Plants 3 feet tall produce dark blue
fruit.
'Patriot' - Early fruit that are large.
'Sunrise' - Large, early fruit.
'Walcott' - Very early fruit production, good landscape
choice.
