Abeliophyllum distichum--Korean Abelialeaf

Hardiness Zones: 4 to 8

Type: deciduous shrub
Annual Growth Rate: 12 to 18 inches

Comments: The white flowers (Vis. 2) occur in the spring and
resemble those of forsythia but are produced before those
of forsythia. The flower buds are more cold tolerant than

more reliable spring display of flowers. The branches may
be cut and forced into bloom during the winter. Provide a
sunny growing area. Another common name is White
Forsythia.
