Viburnum carlesi--Korean Spice Viburnum

Fruits: red to black
Comments: In spring, Korean spice viburnum (Vis. 1) produces
fragrant white flowers (Vis. 3) tinged with pink. The fall
foliage color (Vis. 2) is reddish to wine red. Fruits are
(Vis. 4) produced but are usually eaten by the birds.
Cultivars:
'Aurora' - Medium-sized plant producing pink buds that
open to white flowers.
'Cayuga' - A compact form however listed as the same
size as the species. A hybrid of V. carlesi and V.
carcephalum.
'Compactum' - A dwarf cultivar reaching a height and
spread of 3 feet.
