Comments: Glossy Buckthorn grows in sun or partial shade
and can be used on dry sites. The fruits are red, then
black (Vis. 3) but not especially ornamental. The cultivars
are usually seen in landscapes, the species rarely.

Cultivars:
'Asplenifolia' (Vis. 1) - A fine-textured, cut-leaved
cultivar.
'Columnaris' - An upright (Vis. 2), dense form that holds
its shape.
'Tallcole' (Tallhedge TM) - A selection of
'Columnaris'.
