Comments: A small tree (Vis. 1) with flowers having showy
red stamens. Other ornamental traits are exfoliating bark
and a fall color consisting of a mix of yellow, orange and
red (Vis. 2). The tree is usually low-branched and
multi-stemmed.

Cultivars:
'Pendula' - Weeping branches.
