Comments: The flowers (Vis. 1) of Yellow Loosestrife are
borne in whorls along most of the stem. This adaptable
plant (Vis. 2) can be grown in full sun but actually prefers
partial shade. Yellow Loosestrife will tolerate wet or dry
soil. As with other members of this genus it can be come
invasive.
Propagation: Division as needed to control its spread or
to obtain new plants.
Cultivars:
'Alexander' - The leaves have white margins.
