Comments: The form of Korean Houttuynia most often seen in
gardens is the colored-leaved variety. The plant is
native to Asia and grows well in moist to soggy soil. The
heart-shaped leaves are green in the species. The flowers
are white and displayed in spikes. The plant spreads by
rhizomes making it a useful ground cover plant,
particularly for wet areas.
Propagation: Propagate by division.
Cultivars:
'Chameleon' - The foliage (Vis. 1) is a combination of
yellow, green, bronze and red. (Vis. 2)
