Flowers: White and red

Comments: Redvein Enkianthus is an upright shrub that
requires an acid soil. The bell-shaped flowers (Vis. 1) are
white with red to pink petal tips and veins. The fall color
is also ornamental in combinations of red, orange and
purple.

Cultivars:
'Albiflorus' - A more compact form that has creamy-
white flowers and red fall foliage color.
'Red Bell' - Reliable red fall foliage color. The
white flowers are veined and tipped red.
'Showy Lantern' - Plants growing in full sun will have
pink flowers and scarlet fall foliage color.
'Variegata' - Red twigs, green leaves have white
variegations.
