Dolichos lablab (Lablab purpurea)--Hyacinth Bean

Type: annual
Flowers: Purple, white (Vis. 2).

Comments: This annual vine (Vis. 1) produces purple seed
pods (Vis. 3) in addition to the flowers. The plant is easy
to grow and requires a sunny growing area. Provide strings
or a trellis so the young plants will be able to twine on a
support.

Propagation: Propagation is by seed.

Cultivars:
'Ruby Moon' - The foliage is purplish.
