Cotoneaster multiflorus--Many-flowered Cotoneaster
Hardiness Zones: 3 to 7
Height: 10 ft Spread: 10 ft Form: rounded
Type: deciduous shrub
Annual Growth Rate: 12 to 18 inches
Flowers: White
Fruit: Red
Comments: Many-flowered Cotoneaster is one of the few
cotoneasters useful for its flowers. It is not often
grown, possibly because it is susceptible to fire blight.
Many-flowered Cotoneaster needs sun to partial shade and
any good garden soil. The red fruit (Vis. 2) and the yellow
fall color occur together. The growth habit (Vis. 1) is
normally graceful and drooping.
