Cercidiphyllum japonicum--Katsura Tree

Comments: Katsura Tree has proven to be a fairly pest free
and desirable tree (Vis. 2). The fall color is yellow with
some red (Vis. 3) and the new growth is reddish. The tree
has a shallow root system and may be hard to transplant.
Katsura tree has a spreading habit and makes a good shade
tree.
Cultivars:
'Heronswood Globe' - A small tree with a round crown.
'Pendula' - A weeping habit reaching a height of 20
feet and a spread of 10 feet (Vis. 1).
