Ornamental Plants plus Version 3.0 - 00000086
11/12/99
Allium neapolitanum--Naples Onion
Height: 12 in Spacing: 3 in
Type: tender bulb
Flowers: White
Comments: While most alliums are cold tolerant, this one
is not and should be treated as a tender bulb. The white
flowers are very fragrant and often grown for use as a cut
flower. Provide a sunny growing area and a moist soil.
Plant the bulbs 3 inches deep. After the foliage matures
the bulbs can be dug and stored in a cool area through the
winter.
