Aglaonema--Chinese Evergreen
Type: House plant
Comments: Chinese Evergreen (Vis. 1) is one of the most
durable house plants. It tolerates low light but grows best
in medium light. Allow the soil to dry slightly between
watering. Ideal temperatures are 60 to 65 degrees at night
and 65 to 80 degrees during the day. The plant may be grown
in water. Best growth occurs in warm moist air.
Propagation: The easiest method of propagation is division.
Stem cuttings may also be used. Insert the bottom half of
two inch long cuttings into the rooting medium. The best
results will be obtained in spring or early summer.
