Comments: A large tree not often seen in landscapes. It
can be used on exposed sites or where salt or salt spray
is a problem.
Cultivars:
'Atropurpureum Spaethii' - The undersides of the
leaves are purple but green on top (Vis. 1).
'Brilliantissimum' - The young foliage is pink then
becomes yellowish-green.
'Cox' (Lustre(R)) - Dark green leaves and good salt
tolerance.
'Rotterdam' - Fast-growing, pyramidal tree.
