Dinitroaniline

List of files and visuals associated with this text.

(e.g. Prowl, Sonalan, Treflan, Generic Trifluralin)

Dinitroaniline herbicides may cause delayed seedling
emergence and stunting under cool, wet soil conditions.
Plants may appear stunted and retain a dark green color.
(Vis. 1) Hypocotyls may be swollen and roots may be poorly
developed with stubby lateral roots. There may be some
root proliferation and root tips may be pruned and
swollen. (Vis. 2) Surface applications of Prowl may cause
a callus tissue layer to form at the soil surface,
resulting in stem brittleness and breakage. Rainfall
before soybean emergence will likely reduce this problem.
