List of files and visuals associated with this text.
This disease of germinating seeds and seedling occurs
when conditions are unfavorable for germination and
emergence. Disease symptoms appear as brown, dark brown,
or reddish discoloration at the base of seedlings or on
roots just below the soil surface. (Vis. 1) The fungus
survives in soil and crop debris, and has a wide host
range. Consider fungicide seed treatment for possible
control.
