Bacterial Pustule (Xantomonas campestris pv. glycines)
List of files and visuals associated with this text.
Bacterial pustule occurs when warm temperatures and
frequent rains prevail throughout the growing season.
Pale green spots with raised centers (Vis. 1) usually
form on underleaf surfaces. Leaves become ragged; dead
areas are torn by wind. Defoliation occurs similar to
bacterial blight. The pathogen is spread by wind-blown
rain and survives in crop debris and seeds.
