Eriogonum umbellatum--Sulphur Flower

Comments: Sulphur Flower is native to the Western U.S.  It  
is a low, spreading plant that will form a mat about 3      
feet across.  The yellow flowers are produced through much  
of the summer.  The plant is quite tolerant of heat and     
drought but may not grow as well in areas with wet winters  
and humid summers.                                          

Cultivars:                                                  
   var. polyanthum 'Shasta Sulfur' - Bright yellow          
     flowers.
