Comments: The foliage of this broad-leaved evergreen is     
dark green during the growing season but becomes purplish   
in winter.  The bright red fruits appear in late summer.    
Provide a growing area with acid soil and exposure to full  
sun.                                                        

Cultivars:                                                  
   'minus' - A cultivar hardy to Zone 2 and only about 3    
     inches tall.
