Comments: Fragrant snowball is grown for its very fragrant  
flowers.  The small, white flowers develop from flower      
buds tinged with red.  The flowers are borne in late May    
in 5-inch heads.  The red and black fruits are produced in  
early summer.  The fall foliage color is reddish purple.    

Cultivars:                                                  
   'Chesapeake' - A compact, hybrid with lustrous foliage,  
     wide-growing.
