Iris reticulata--Reticulate Iris

Type: hardy bulb                                            
Flowers: Blue, purple, yellow                               

Comments: This iris is a small early blooming plant that    
likes a sunny site with a well-drained soil.  These small   
plants have grass-like leaves.  The plants benefit from     
bone meal applied at planting and after bloom.  The bulbs   
are planted in September, 4 inches deep and 4 to 5 inches   
apart.  A number of species are quite similar.              

Propagation: Division is done in September with immediate   
replanting.                                                 

Cultivars:                                                  
   'Harmony' - Intense, blue flower.
