Comments: Yellow-wood bears hanging clusters of white
flowers. Yellow-wood is hard to transplant but may be
grown in both high pH and acidic soils. The tree develops
yellow fall color and has brittle wood that make it prone
to storm damage. Remove lower branches when the tree is
young to prevent formation of a short trunk. The tree
bleeds profusely when pruned in spring.
