Cerastium tomentosum--Snow-In-Summer

Hardiness Zones: 2 to 7
Height: 6 in Spread: 24 in
Type: herbaceous perennial
Flowers: White

Comments: Snow-In-Summer is useful in the rock garden or
as a ground cover but its invasive tendencies must be kept
under control. The plant has silvery foliage. A site
with a sunny exposure and any well-drained soil is
suitable. The plant can be used on dry, sunny banks or
other hot, dry areas. The white flowers are borne in
mid-summer. Trim the plants back after they flower and
expect some dieback during hot summer weather.

Propagation: Propagation is by division, seed, or
cuttings. Division every 2 years may be needed to keep it
under control. Sow seed outdoors up to 2 months before
frost. Plants are spaced 4 to 6 inches apart. Cuttings
can be taken in late spring.

Cultivars:
'Yo Yo' - Plants have woolly-gray foliage and white
    foliage.
