Allium roseum--Bigflower Rosy Onion

Type: hardy bulb                                            
Flowers: Pink                                               

Comments: The umbels of this allium are useful as cut or    
dried flowers.  Provide a sunny growing area and a well-    
drained soil.  Where it is hardy, the plant will spread     
quickly.  Plant the bulbs 6 inches deep.                    

Propagation: Dig the bulbs and remove the bulblets in the   
fall after the leaves have died down.  Replant              
immediately.                                                

Cultivars:                                                  
   var. bulbiferum - Bulblets are produced in the flower    
     clusters.
