(Economic Relation with the Soviet Union and E.Europe) This publicatuion is a report to the Trilateral commission prepared by three authors from different countries. The trilateral commission was formed in 1973 by private citizens of Western Europe, Japan, and North America to foster closer cooperation among these three regions on common problems. It seeks to improve public understanding of such problem, to support proposals for handling them jointly, and to nurture habits and practices of working together among these regions. The book is divided into three main sections. The first section discusses the trends, structure, financing and investment in trade after the period of world war II.
The second section deals with the potential and problem in different economic sectors like energy, Agriculture, Technology, Services and other Merchandise Trade. The third section illustrates the economic sanctions, policies to promote expansion of economic relations, and government and private initiative s to encourage trade.
