The Small Business Advancement Center is a national and
international research, training, consulting and
information center funded by the U.S. Congress and
administered by the U.S. Small Business Administration.
The center houses a large electronic research library on
small business and entrepreneurship. It is housed at the
University of Central Arkansas.
The National Center houses five areas:
- Small Business Advancement Network
The network is an electronic information sources
allowing access to research and current information
pertaining to small business. The information can be
accessed by a personal computer and modem through the
Internet.

- Small Business National Training Network
This network provides training in economically
depressed areas through two-year institutions and non-
profit organizations. It is co-sponsored with SBA.
- Small Business Institute National Data Center
This center serves as a clearinghouse and provides
small business assistance through student consulting
teams supervised by college professors.
- Small Business Center
This center conducts local training seminars for
small business owners.
- International Exchange Program
This program provides student exchanges between the
U.S. and the European community. The U.S. institutions
are the University of Central Arkansas and Texas Tech
University.
