Center for the New West

The Center is an independent, nonprofit and nonpartisan     
institution for policy research.  The work of the Center    
focuses on public policy changes that characterize U.S.     
society and the economy.                                    

A current publication of interest from the Center is:       

The Great Plains in Transition:  Overview of Change in      
America's New Economy, 1992 study - Lone Eagles, a term     
coined by the Center, refers to the growing number of       
Americans who live and work in any location because of the  
advances in telecommunications technologies.
