Phone Service for Home-Based Business

Ameritech offers two different services that can help home- 
based businesses.  The first is Distinctive Ringing.  This  
is used on one telephone line with one phone number and can 
have up to 10 different callers identified with distinctive 
ringing.                                                    

Both the originating and terminating ends of a call must    
have special trunking to provide this service and not all   
areas of Michigan have this capacity.                       

The other alternative is Multi-Ring service.  It is also    
used on one line but can have one or two additional phone   
numbers, each with a separate listing.  Multi-Ring          
provides a different ring for each phone number. No         
special trunking is need for this phone service.  The       
monthly charge is $5 for the first additional number and    
$4 for the second number.  Multi-Ring is available for      
both residence and business.
