Safe Food for Outfitters, Food Safety for Fundraisers       
Abstract:                                                   
Two 25-minute videotapes were developed to provide food     
safety education in Wyoming, where there is a large         
foodservice population but few inspectors. Food Safety      
for Fundraisers and Safe Food for Outfitters emphasize      
the prevention of foodborne illness. Information provided   
in the videotapes includes background on microorganisms     
that cause foodborne illness, bacterial growth/conditions   
favoring, potentially hazardous foods, principles of        
HACCP, kitchen sanitation, and personal hygiene. Print      
materials are included, and the videotapes are available    
in closed caption for hearing-impaired individuals. The     
booklets support the video content, providing information   
on bacterial growth, hazardous foods, foodborne illness,    
HACCP principles, danger zone temperatures, sanitizing      
surfaces, cross contamination, and personal hygiene.
