Communicating About Agricultural Chemicals: Designing Credible Food Safety Programs for Differing Audiences Abstract: This 19-page booklet gives the results of a project designed to examine knowledge change, trust level change, and degree of critical thinking achieved with different food safety educational methods and different audiences. University students and food cooperative shoppers participated in randomly assigned intervention methods: print materials only or printed materials plus an interactive workshop. The information presented is intended to stimulate critical thinking among Extension educators and others concerned with effectively communicating the risk/benefit issues of agricultural chemicals to various target audiences.
