Executive Summary: Safety Awareness in the Food Environment is a multi-state project designed to increase the knowledge and understanding of food managers about the scientific and policy bases for the risk management decisions they make. The SAFE project includes the development and testing of two education methods designed specifically for this difficult to reach audience. The project utilizes public policy methodology to achieve its objectives.
