There are many grades and analyses of nitrogen (N),         
phosphorus (P) and potassium (K) fertilizers, but           
all can be grouped into three classes - liquids,            
solids and gaseous.                                         

There is nothing mysterious about different grades          
or types of fertilizers. For a particular grade,            
many fertilizers have the same chemical compounds           
and are used for the same basic purposes to                 
supplement the essential plant nutrients in the             
soil. Usually all that is needed to compare two             
fertilizers is the amount and the availability of           
plant nutrients in the material. This information is        
given an the label or bill of sale and is                   
guaranteed.
