ABSTRACT: Outlines methods by which counselors in State
Rehabilitation Agencies can utilize their time more
efficiently in the job placement process for their severely
disabled clients. Methods include (a) orienting groups of
clients to the rehabilitation process to replace the more
time-consuming individualized approach, (b) teaching
clients the skills needed to enhance their own job
placement potentialities, (c) instructing and guiding
employers in the application of Affirmative Action concepts
contained in the Federal Rehabilitation Act, and (d)
maintaining and disseminating centralized lists of
job-ready clients for use by prospective employers.
