TITLE: Targeting nontraditional students: A study of change
process in vocational education.

ABSTRACT: Describes the development and design of a program
to change the traditional sex balance in the enrollment
patterns of vocational education. Evaluative data from 151
middle and high school students enrolled in the program
indicate that it had an impact on the enrollment and
adjustment in vocational programs and suggest the pivotal
role that guidance counselors can play in the recruitment
of nontraditional students. (9 ref) (PsycLIT Database
