ABSTRACT: Almost 400 staff and administrators at the San
Francisco State University were surveyed concerning campus
human relations. This volume provides a copy of the survey
questionnaire and frequency distributions for responses to
each questionnaire item. The questionnaire covered:
treatment of various groups by the campus community;
frequency of being offended, abused, or experiencing
discrimination; observation of discrimination; experience
with sexual harassment; treatment of various groups in
hiring decisions and appointments to management positions;
managers' role in recruiting minority staff and reducing
intolerance; attitudes toward affirmative action programs;
factors limiting recruitment of new staff or managers;
adequacy of grievance procedures; age; gender; collective
bargaining unit; degrees held; disability; ethnic or racial
identification; permanent/temporary status; religious
preference; and sexual orientation. (JDD)
