ABSTRACT: This document describes phase 1 of the Automated
Affirmative Action System (AAAS) of the Tuskegee Institute,
which was designed to organize an inventory of any patterns
of job classification and assignment identifiable by sex or
minority group; any job classification or organizational
unit where women and minorities are not employed or are
underutilized; and any patterns of difference in rate of
pay, status, type of appointment, termination, or rates of
advancement within job classifications or organizational
units that are identifiable by sex or minority group. A
rationale and narrative of the system rudiments are
provided
in the system description segment of this report. The
program description section yields flow diagrams and
computer program listings that generate the reports to
institutional management. Subsequent section of this report
yield sample output reports, punched card and magnetic tape
file layouts, and the operating instructions for the
system.
