4-H Global and Cultural EducationHelping young people explore, appreciate and value what people next door, across town and around the world have in common and what makes them unique is critically important in society today. The people of this world are an amazing group tied together by many similarities and distinguished by a multitude of wonderful differences. 4-H offers a variety of opportunities for kids and adults to learn more about our global community.

Training & Events

  • “Connecting Youth to the World” 4-H Global and Cultural Education Workshop Kettunen Center, Tustin, Michigan, September 27-28, 2008
    For Michigan 4-H volunteers, both adult and youth (aged 13 by January 1, 2009 and older), and 4-H Staff and other adults who work with youth. Register with your county MSU Extension office by September 12, 2008.
    This workshop will be repeated in Spring 2010 with a new focus.
  • Michigan Week Youth Photo Contest
    2003 was the first year of a youth photo contest coordinated by Michigan State University Extension's 4-H Youth Development and the Michigan Department of History, Arts and Libraries with financial support from donations to the Michigan 4-H Foundation and the Michigan Barn Preservation Network.
