The annual Michigan 4-H State Shooting Sports Tournament provides Michigan 4-H shooters the opportunity to test their skills against other youth from all over the state and compete for awards in BB Gun, Trap, Skeet Muzzleloading, Air Rifle Target Archery and 3-D Archery. This event takes place in late July or early August.
Participants must participate in a local competitive activity in order to qualify for participation in the State 4-H Shooting Sports Tournament.
Thanks to all 4-H competitors, volunteers and spectators for a successful 2009 State Tournament!

Due to significant data entry, onsite computation, and technology issues, ALL scores were reentered and retabulated from original contestant targets or score cards. This action changed the outcomes of some contests. If you received an award in error, or did not receive the medal you earned, please contact Debi Pinkel at pinkeld@anr.msu.edu or 517-432-7651 by November 20, 2009. We will send all medals in one shipment to the county for distribution. Please accept our sincere apologies.
Note: It was and is the responsibility of the instructors and youth contestants to ensure that their tournament registrations were correct before they arrived at the competition. In some cases participants competed in divisions or events for which they had not registered. While these contestants were allowed to shoot in these divisions or events at the tournament, the Board has decided that competitors shooting in a division or event for which they were not originally registered are ineligible for awards.
