Acid-Loving Trees and Shrubs (click here for printer-friendly version) The following plants are thought of as "acid-loving", that is, they grow better in soils with pH lower than the 6-7 range preferred by most. Canadian peat, sulfur and acidifying fertilizers may be needed.
