Mary McLellan, Master Gardener Coordinator, led a group of 39
Master Gardeners, spouses and friends on a 10 day tour of Gardens of
Northern Europe. They departed from Detroit Metro airport on Tuesday,
May 7 and returned on Saturday, May 18, 2002.
Horticultural high points of the trip included visits to the Aalsmeer
Flower Auction, the Keukenhof
Exhibition, The Floriade, Monet's
Garden at Giverny, the Palace of
Verseilles and the Courson Flower
Show.
In addition, the group visited four private or small public gardens
along the way including: De
Tintelhof, Musee van
Loon, Van Wassehnove
Garden, Le Vasterival and Le
Bois Moutiers.
